State experts approve Uralkali’s project to expand SKRU-3 mine

MOSCOW, Jul 1 (PRIME) -- The General Board of the State Expert Review has approved Russian fertilizer producer Uralkali’s expansion of production capacity of its SRKU-3 mine to 14.8 million tonnes of sylvinite ore from 11.35 million tonnes, the authority said in a statement on Thursday.

Uralkali plans to build an underground mining facility for development the SKRU-3 mine field. The field is currently stripped by three vertical wells, the authority said.
